Our History
Founded in 1998 by Mark Terrill, we began as a local enterprise focused on helping contractors and store fronts source quality tile. Within a few years, we were selling statewide, and have built our reputation across the Midwest ever since.
In January 2021, long-time employee Michael Czaplewski began the buy-out process, which concluded in May 2024. Michael is proud to continue the legacy of innovation and growth that have guided 21st Century Tile since its inception.

Michael Czaplewski
Owner
Michael began his career at 21st Century Tile in 1998, working in the warehouse and providing customer service. He has since held just about every position within the company. As Territory Manager, Michael built relationships with clients across the region, which solidified his decision to buy out the company when Mark retired.

Kamryn Czaplewski
Designer and Sales Representative
Kamryn started at 21st Century Tile in 2020 as a Showroom Assistant. She has expanded her expertise by taking on the Designer and Sales Representative role, allowing her to deepen her relationships with our valued customers.

Julie Stimson
Designer and Showroom Manager
Julie holds an Interior Design degree from UW-Stevens Point and has extensive sales experience in our industry. She began working at 21st Century Tile in 2020 as a designer, where she rapidly took on the Showroom Manager responsibilities as well.

Kristina Kiviaho
Designer
Kristina graduated from WCTC with an Interior Design degree and started at 21st Century Tile in 2011. She worked as a Designer in our showroom for a decade, took a few years off, and is now back as our designer.

Anahi Lopez
Designer
Anahi graduated from Mount Mary College in 2024 with an Interior Design degree. She worked as an intern designer while still a student, and we hired her as a full-time Designer upon graduation.

Andrew Linder
Contractor Representative
Andrew has been a contractor for the past 14 years where he worked with most of the tile setting material brands throughout his career. In 2022 , Andrew joined the 21st Century tile team as a Contractor rep to help contractors with product knowledge and issues. In 2024, Andrew was given the opportunity to increase his role with the company and splits time as a Contractor Rep and Territory Manager.

Rick Kavanagh
Territory Manager
Rick has been in the flooring industry for 20 years working on all sides. He spent the past 8 years as a Territory Manager and Regional Manager for a nationwide tile distributor. Rick brings 21st Century Tile a strong knowledge of tile and leadership.
